Hello X Freaks on the planet!!! I’m X freak from Thailand.

I’ve just come back from Taipei with tons of memory during X World Tour Live in Taiwan. I’ll try my best to arrange my thought (so many things in my head now ^^) and report as much details as possible for those who didn’t have the chance to go there.

To make it’s easy to follow, I’ll go by the music play list. Are you ready? Let’s go!

SE.Amethyst
Beyond our expection, the concert started exactly on time! It was at 7.00 and some blocks were not fully occupied, yet. I think that maybe because many fans still lined up at the X merchandise booths (FYI, there was a report saying that the line for X tour goods was about 3 km long..OMG). And some may get used to of X Japan being late. So I saw alot of ppl running and soaking with sweat when they came to there seats.

01.Rusty Nail

The first song was Rusty Nail with a longer music intro to gave time for band member call.

02.WEEK END – Half version

The show was followed by Week End half version. Instead of Yoshiki going back to his drum after the piano part, he continued to play piano and Sugizo appeared. This part became a beautiful duet between piano and violin. The show even made the fans scream louder when the music turned to be Silent Jealousy. The first time this song was played in the World Tour.

03.YOSHIKI Piano & SUGIZO Violin

04.Silent Jealousy

 05.PATA Guitar solo

I’m not a musician so I didn’t really concentrated on his guitar skill (sorry Ishizuka-sensei T_T) Anyway, since my seat was so close I could notice that Pata looks so young and his flowers-printed shirt was cool, too. I love you Pata-san~

 06.DRAIN
let me first explain that Taiwan fans had a project called ‘Yellow Heart Project’ specially decicated to hide. They planed to make a red heart-shape with yellow background in A1 area (the main arena). So the staffs gave red or yellow light stick to all the fans in A1 area for free and asked them to wave the stick when hide’s song was performed. The idea was great but unfortunately it didn’t succeed.Mainly because it was impossible to make a heart-shape barely by light sticks and I think that not everyone was informed about this project, too.

Hongkong fans which possibly be the biggest group of oversea fans in this concert got their own project too. They planned to make an X-shape made by crosing two red fabric. I didn’t know the details of their project since they kept saying it was a secret. Anyway, I wasn’t a part of the Hongkong project, anyone got the picture please show me.

07.Say Anything – Acoustic Version feat.TOSHI & PATA & HEATH

Say Anything-Acoustic version fit very well in an open-air concert. The cool temperature in Taipei (21 degree celcius) created a cozy and relax atmosphere of the night. Surprisingly, there were some fans sat during this song (at least they didn’t clap their hands..haha)

08.Tears

Yoshiki was back on stage throwing roses to the fans. Then  he sat on the piano stool and Tears began. It wasn’t easy to resist ourselves for not crying. While sing along with Toshi, some fans were crying including my friends. I didn’t cry though. (i was tough this time ^^)

09.KURENAI

More special than X concert anywhere, Taiwan production team included firework to blend very well in the show. It even made Kurenai more ‘red’ than usual.

01.VIOLET UK

- ROSA remix
Break time for the band but the show still continued. Rosa was played followed by traditional Dragon dance! Then, it was a  kimono fashion show by H.Naoto.

02.YOSHIKI Drum solo

Yoshiki’s drum solo was the highlight that many fans have waited for it. It was so obvious for this concert that when the drum solo was about to start, many fan (especially guys) slowly move up front to get closer to Yoshiki. And he didn’t disappointed us. Yoshiki did the solo as if there was no tomorrow!

It was more special when the Drum platform can move 360 degree and also move vertically from the back of the stage to the edge of central catwalk! Thanks to his crystal drum set, I can see his face so clearly (wow) Good news, he didn’t dive to the drums this time..thank God.

03.Without You

While Yoshiki was panting from the long and powerful drum solo. Toshi appeared on stage and sing Without You. After that…(i think you all can imagine) Yoshiki walked on the catwalk toward Toshi. The two long lost friends were embraced each other. I couldn’t resist my true feeling anymore. My tears were flowing like waterfall (sob sob) hide’s PV was shown on the screen. And even made it hard for me to stop crying  T_T  Btw, I think it was the same PV showed at the Dome concert last May.

04.I.V.

During the intro of I.V. Toshi walked to each member and asked if anyone got something to say. Pata said something like ‘We are X’ in Mandarin. Sugizo said ‘I love everyone’. I don’t remember what heath said. But Yoshiki just ran away from Toshi’s microphone without saying any word.

It seems that fan’s wave is a must thing in X concert. The fans know when and where to start the wave. For Taiwan, fans on the stand started it and not only those on the stand, fans at the arena also did it as well (just made it back&forth)

During the wave part, I saw a big banner saying ‘Marry Me’ with hide’s yellow heart background on the right stand. And I found out later that the owner of the banner just proposed his girlfriend to marry him at the concert. oh man..this is the most creative wedding trick i’ve ever think of! Congratulation for the soon-to-be husband & wife!

SE.WORLD ANTHEM

You may recall that Yoshiki gave an interview when he arrived Taiwan saying that last time during his Asia Promote Tour he saw many Taiwanese fans wore bride gown to greet him at the airport. So this time he would enter Taiwan in wedding dress, if his management hadn’t stopped him…

I didn’t take it seriously when I knew he said that but..but..but..He really did it!!!!

Toshi, in his white suit, dragged Yoshiki who was now wearing a bride gown from the backstage to the main catwalk. Yoshiki was obviously extremely blushing. Less than a minute or two, he couldn’t handle his self embarrassment anymore. After Toshi announced ‘Happy Wedding’, Yoshiki immediately took (tear) off his wedding dress and threw it the the fan. (I think they should have thrown a bride’s bouquet instead..haha)

01.X

Another legacy of X Japan is X Jump! After the concert, Yoshiki said that he was surprised to see fans in Taiwan know how to do X jump. Of course we know..X fans all over the world know it!

One more thing, prior to the concert, Taiwan claimed that the concert would be the same scale as in Tokyo Dome. I didn’t believe it at first. However,I changed my mind right after I saw Yoshikitty balloons appeared on the two sides next to the stage! It was huge..real huge. Hmm..I just realized this time that it was cute though (No!!!)

02.ENDLESS RAIN

No break after X, the band continued with Endless Rain. It was so impressive especially when Toshi stopped singing and let the fans sing. The open-air stadium created echo sound of the song and it was very cool. I don’t know how to explain the feeling but please imagine singing or praying in a church..it sounded like that.very sacred..i would say.

01.ART OF LIFE – 2nd part

We are now at the end of the concert, the band came back with the piano part of Art of Life and all members play together ’till the last melody of the song. Sugizo played hide’s guitar part and there was no hide’s hologram.

End of the performace. All members including hide’s giant doll  were holding hands as to say good bye to all fans.

After all, congratulation to all X freaks in Taiwan. Thailand should be the first to have X japan open-air concert but due to unexpected circumstance, we missed the chance. Anyway, I really do appreciate my trip to Taiwan. X freaks there were so powerful and enegetic in the concert, but they also gave me tons of impression for their kindness and helpful people I met. Hope to welcome you all soon in Thailand for X live in Bangkok!
